What is this?

Today I was stood in the conservatory looking down the garden, to see if I could spot the Robin that lives down the bottom part of the garden, when I saw something running or should I say 'scooting' round the pond! It was grey in colour and I thought 'oh, another cat in the garden'. Then I thought, that's not a cat its a little dog! How did that get into our back garden? I looked through the binoculars that we keep in the conservatory for looking at the birds. Still I couldn't make out what this animal was! It was very ugly and was biting itself and scratching at a manic pace. It was a fox!! A baby one. Poor thing, ugly it may be but it must have been riddled with fleas from the way it was scratching and biting :o( If I thought I could have got near it I would have dropped some frontline onto its back. Here are the photos...is it cute? Or is is ugly? I can't make up my mind.
